An Example of Brand Planning

Using my family business’s brand planning, here is my process. I like to handwrite everything up to the final step, where I digitally create the final product.

Step 1

Gather Information

To build an authentic digital presence for Musee LTD, I began by interviewing the owner and getting information on the business’s past. I studied the types of rugs the business specializes in, the restoration services offered, and our relationships with interior designers and loyal customers. This discovery phase helped me understand what made the brand special and how to bring that story online.

Step 2

Future Plans

After identifying Musee LTD’s strengths and current challenges, I met with the owner to set clear goals to increase showroom traffic, grow social media engagement, and promote rug cleaning services. We discussed expanding our customer base by connecting with younger audiences through Instagram and TikTok. This shaped the roadmap for our digital strategy.

Step 3

Draft a Plan

Using the research and goals, I sketched out a plan, which is a mix of past and future goals. I mapped out how to achieve the goals and what that will lead to for the business.

Step 4

Finalize Plan

After refining and getting feedback from the owner, I finalized a brand plan. Adding post formatting to call-to-actions. The result was a steady increase in online engagement and in-store inquiries.
